I've been using this bag for 3 years or so as an aviation survival pak. It perfectly fits into a great stow spot (behind the rear seat) in a variety of tandem seat bush planes such as SuperCubs, Huskey's, Scouts, Carbon Cubs, L-19s, etc. The strap can tuck inside the bag for stow and be quickly deployed for over-the-shoulder carry. Mine is chucked completely full of gear & supplies. The length is perfect to go from side to side of the fuselage. I like the side pockets to stow items that might need to be accessible on a camping trip but without having to disturb the entire contents of the carefully arranged main compartment.
Fit and finish is superb. Main compartment is roomy but double check measurements of what you plan to put inside; i think there was a larger/longer version for sale but has since disappeared from the site. As is, will handily contain an AR upper and lower and other gear. The side zip pockets are a bit strange, being long and thin and split into two (per side) by some thread. This limits its use to much smaller and thinner items, such as hand tools and even PMAGS. The exterior molle (and thus accessory options) makes up for it, though. Thankfully it is not overtly "covert" but tasteful. Under heavier loads you will feel the weight on your preferred carry shoulder, but the strap padding was so well made it won't bite into your skin and is more comfortable than expected. Price is a little high but this bag is so unique and functional. Very difficult to find fault in this product. Keeping an eye out for another future sale.
I have used this bag for everything from on-duty tactical / bail out bag while on patrol. The exterior molle handles an IFAK plus mag pouches easily. Overnight bag, expectant Dad roll to the hospital bag (Change of clothes, shave kit, phone charger and whiskey!), low pro protection detail bag (IFAK, ammo, jacket, chow) It is currently in my truck serving as a low pro get home bag. If I wasn't perpetually broke, I would buy several more!
I started with getting this as alike the day pack. Then that changed when I had a little girl, made the best diaper bag around, even talk some other women in getting one, because they were always trying to get mine. Hold alot of gear, like the diapers, whips and snacks and a few toys. then I used it for work, fits lunch, a book and snacks great. I liked it so much I ordered 4 more, of course I got mine on sale or original price was alot less, think I paid around 30 buck, no were near 109 for sure.
First off, I have always been a fan of the quality of these bags. Made to take a beating, and have never seen one like it. I have owned a Sat - Com bag for years now, and currently use mine as a knife kit. I'm a busy Sous Chef working an average of 65 to 70 hours a week, and this bag goes everywhere I go. I'm in and out of it multiple times a day, and have yet to have any problems with the zippers. I always carry a plethora of knives, big and small, that fit perfect in it. The side pockets are the perfect size it any kitchen gadget I may need. My daily load out includes a 8'' chef knife, 12'' Slicer, 4'' utility knife, paring knife, serrated bread knife, fillet knife, 8'' santoku, 15'' honing steel, sharpening stone, apple corer, peeler, kitchen shears, melon baller, tomato corer, zester, micro plane, plating tweezers, and a collection of sharpies for labeling. It's a perfect on the go bag for any need. I get question about it all the time, and always point them here. Thank CountyComm / Maratac for providing quality craftsmanship!
