That’s the philosophy I have carried throughout my career in Federal Law Enforcement, 2 is 1 and 1 is none! I bought this covert Bac Sac for when I travel as a backup bag (non-discript). This bag is perfect! I through this in the luggage and then when I arrive I am able to use it as a quick dump sac for all my EDC gear and then some. I love the side access, the grab handles and the rain closure! CountyComm makes the best products with zero failure in my use. Great Job Guys!
It's pretty damn sturdy. I'm pretty sure I could fill it with rocks and use it for weighted pushups, like I do with my old soviet rucksack. I haven't used it as such, but it seems at least as sturdy as my Soviet Vashemok. It might even be sturdier, and the Vashemok is famous for it's toughness.
The side entrance to the main area is very handy. I've got my BacSac hanging up behind me right now, and I can easily get anything I want out of the main pouch without having to get up. In future models I'd recommend County Comm put something on that zipper to make it easy to put a padlock on it, as I'd be very anxious to have this on my back on the subway or the public bus without something securing that zipper.
There is another backpack on the website right now for around the same price. I think it's called the urban day backpack.
If you want a lot of space without standing out I'd go with the Urban Daypack. It's very well built, has lots of storage potential, is very comfortable to wear and easy to adjust.
If you need a pack built like a tank that can be weighed down, thrown around, man handled and still last awhile, or just want something that stands out a bit, then I'd go with this one.
Why doesn't county comm like water bottle holders?
I use it to carry my radio, hardhat, flashlight etc. This is the second bag i've purchased from County Comm and their products never disappoint.
