The TI Field Watch is Maratac's newest mid size watch into the hacking ( stops the second hand when adjusting the time ) movement market.
This watch is made to exemplify the purest form of time, which provides a simplistic feel to the watch. The TI Field Watch utilizes a Seiko NH-35 24 jewel movement known for its superior quality, accuracy and of course it's hacking feature. This movement provides up to 40 hours of power reserve when not in use.
This mid size watch is ideal for both formal and casual events, and is built to last with it's robust sapphire domed crystal.
This is another clean and simple design by Maratac™
This is my second Maratac, the first being a mid-pilot that I purchased used a few years ago. I was looking for a field watch for days and it wasn't until I saw a Maratac Field watch being sold on eBay that I remembered they made them. It ticked all my boxes: titanium, smaller size (38mm), domed, sapphire crystal, killer lume, and automatic.
I was tempted to buy the eBay listing as it was virtually new, but I realized that CountyComm was on the West Coast, therefore quicker shipping time to me. I also wanted to support a small business during the pandemic, so I ordered on a Friday night, late. I was super happy to see it two days later, on Monday.
What a beauty of a watch. Sitting next to its brother, the mid-pilot, I just love it. Thanks, CountyComm!
Arrived promptly and as advertised. Satisfied with company and product.
At first look this is as simple as a watch can get. Not even a logo on the dial face. Closer inspection reveals a very well done nitrile blue color to the hands and an expertly applied illumination material on the numerals and hands that works throughout the night. The band is simple and sturdy as is the buckle. One of my major concerns, being wider than the average bear, is smacking the crystal on door jams as I navagate about. This crystal has taken a number of knocks but has held up needing only a good wipe down with a soft cloth. The watch runs within the specs posted by Seiko, a little slow but I think more than adequate for as many times as I will be going “over the top."
So I got in a pretty rough motorcycle accident a few months ago. Everything destroyed except this bad boy. Still runs but cosmetically it has some scratches on the crystal which I thi k is acceptable since I went flying 30 feet. So I bought another one that isn't as scratched up and I still wear the scratched up one, the scratched up titanium gives it a pretty good look and it keeps time perfectly!
