I'm using this tweezer kit for Fly-Tying. It's easy to setup and use and a welcomed addition to my kit. I have it installed on a wood base, and the expandability of this kit allows for limitless adjustability. Very happy with this purchase, will be getting another for electronics.

Just an other awesome high quality tool

This thing screams excellent craftsmanship and if you were to buy something similar somewhere else it would cost 2-3x as much if not more. The base is roughly twice the size of the other helping hand hobby kit and the whole thing is a couple ounces shy of a full pound, making it very stable on its own. The tweezers grip strong enough to hold most delicate items but not too strong to damage them. The pinch on these is ACCURATE (it can literally hold a single human hair) and works for a variety of sizes of objects. It doesn't hold flat objects very well due to the design of the tweezers being completely flat when closed, so it won't hold cards, thin films, stickers, or other papers very well, but anything with a thickness of .5mm or more gets gripped very securely.

I've combined mine with my stainless steel hobby kit also from CountyComm, and both are screwed down with M5 .80 x 16 screws to an aluminum mouse pad that I drilled and repurposed as a mobile work surface, and I added some afterburner glow rings as well for some extra flair. I'll be picking up a second hobby kit sometime soon and honestly don't think there is anything even remotely close to being as good of quality, versatility, or appropriately priced enough to compete with that combination if you're a serious hobbyist. As you can tell I own a lot of CC products and these are honestly among some of the nicest items they offer that have a real applicable use if you spend a lot of time working with tiny components. Bravo CountyComm. Now just copy my 4-corner mount base and make it out of silicone the same thickness as your coasters but with some half-inch walls/lips and the screw/nut holes countersunk on the underside. And make it glow in the dark.

A little tricky to put together the first time and can't support too much weight, but it's not really meant to. Even without the mount it is a good pair of long tweezers, smooth tips so doesn't grip too tight but great for holding small pieces in place so you can have both hands free. I use this in conjunction with the Hobby Hand Kit, the one with a lot more parts and the spring loaded grabber head. I will probably follow another reviewer's idea and put a slight chamfer on the holes so they grab the ball joints tighter. Overall a solid little helper that I haven't seen anywhere else.
