We're proud to introduce the new Companion Compass. The compasses are specially designed to a special clients specifications. We have a few left over to offer to our consumer EDC / Preppers. Remember, always have a compass and be prepared, we are living in ever changing times.
Got one for me and my wife (who wanted a smaller compass for EDC). Splurged for the titanium. Particularly nice. Compasses are accurate, small and easily stashed, and easy to read, especially given their diminutive size. Only down side is that mine has a small bubble in it, but that hasn't seemed to affect accuracy at all. Overall, quite happy.
I could tell right out of the box that this radio is a winner. Once I put the batteries in and the display lit up I was very excited to turn this thing on. MW (AM) was crazy alive with stations. More than I knew that could be received in my area. The addition of the plug in ferrite antenna clarified stations and facilitated fine tuning by rotating to it. Now for the technical part. I don’t understand side band or the different SW bands. Need to make a cheat sheet and study up on this. The quick tips guide included is easy to follow and understand, but doesn’t go far enough if you are not familiar with SW, LW, or SSB. I’ve searched videos on this radio and some are informative but most all are reviews and don’t walk you through step by step operating. I have a lot to learn. The Radio has a ton of handy features and is smaller than I expected. I’ll keep plugging away and eventually master this quality piece of tech.
Great for me as I’m rarely pointed in the right direction, but also never in true backcountry, where more detailed features would be required. Fits into a pocket, on a zipper, or in my Altoids tin sized EDC!
