After his debut in our Solingen production line with the Haddock, Cox and 67, Jens Ansø from Denmark brings new models to our Boker Plus line. The Albatros boasts massive, 3.6mm thick titanium plates that form the basis for the frame lock. Between the plates sits the 5mm thick blade, made of VG-10 steel, which with its bulbous edge and slight hollow grind allows versatility and excellent cutting performance. The titanium pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry, and the large lanyard hole completes the package.

This is the knife black anodized toys want to be when they grow up. At 2.5" it is ideal for EDC. Where legality or restrictions are a concern, open carry would be ill advised. The space lost in length is found in width and depth. It is immediately visible clipped inside a pant pocket. The liner does not expand very far on opening. That said, I have not adjusted anything, nor do I intend to. I do not see it ever failing without external assistance of any kind. There is zero play in the blade. As with all Countycomm products, the Albatross is tool and its appearance reflects as much. I'd wanted one for some years and am very happy I bought one. Buy once, cry once. The number of toy folders you'd go through before you were done with the Albatross would far exceed its cost. Countycomm sets the bar for titanium, there's a lot of garbage out there. If you work with your hands this one's for you.
Bought this as a gift after picking up his hint, and he absolutely loves it. Shipped quickly, arrived razor sharp. Never misses an opportunity to take it out and use it or show someone. People always comment about how nice it looks and how sharp it is. Has the limited quantity number on it too - his was #61. He liked the braided piece on the end, and that he could remove or reverse the clip/knob, or something like that, on it too. Hasn't stopped carrying it since he opened it. :)
Im super picky with my knives, and I asked Mike to check for a few things before he sent the knife. He emailed me back withing hours, and was happy to accommodate me. He must have shipped that day cause I received it within 3 days. The knife: This knife is quarky and not for everybody. If you like chubby, overbuilt, tank like knives than you will love it. I was able to tune the pivot so it was smooth with solid lockup. The knife came RAZOR sharp, and its thin behind the edge so its a much better slicer than I anticipated. The ONLY improvement I would make on the knife is a better clip. Its a shallow carry, there is little ramp, and it doesn't work well with thick jeans. I did not lower my rating for this because I could see this in pictures and the video before I purchased it and knew what to expect.
I still have the "original" one (Boker Anso Frame-Lock Albatross) but could not let this opportunity get by me without acquiring this new updated version as a backup EDC. I love the size, feel and weight of this knife. My "go-to" daily carry and this new one just adds to my love of the Albatross.
