I use the Grab & Go First Aid Kits, to both Restock my first aid kits, and to supplement them.
I more than doubled the content of a famous brand FAK, sold by a retail outdoors company: it is a great Nylon Bag, without the extras that I feel should be in EVERY FAK: a Light, AND a good pair of Trauma scissors. beyond my regular use of the products, that I feel I must add to the FAK to really have enough product, Available WHEN NEEDED.
I keep a FAK where It will be needed, so I have ~many~ the Kitchen, WoodShop, Car(s) (2) RV, and In my GOOD bag. All get updated when I order from CountyComm, I usually just "Add a Kit" for "next time". I gave my last one to my Daughter who is doing a Vacation in Ireland: here, add this to your luggage: She has SEVEN FAK's, Because her Father taught her First Aid!
Of course people might want to aid pain-killer-of choice, a tourniquet, trauma-style blood stopper of choice, etc.... but this is going to take care of most of what we're going to get into on a daily sort of basis. Well thought out and inexpensive. I have a couple of them, now, for different bags.
Grab & Go First Aid Kit
this little kit is more than enough for the majority of what we encounter on a vacation or trips to the kids weekly sports games. The addition of the high quality shears and mini light are a very nice bonus as we have used both items from CountyComm for many years.
The water tight bag and quality items make this a must bring while camping, hiking, or anything else where you leave your main FAK at camp or car.
With very few additions like moleskin, a roll of fabric tape, a bug bite stick, and some eye wash you can cover most anything minor and keep on enjoying yourself until you get home-perfect
This is similar to kits we assembled for our SAR air scent dog crews. There is a bit of extra room to add some customized items for your AO and mission. I suggest these as a "thought starter" and to supplement with additional materials based upon your mission requirements and training . A great time saver to have lots of these in the unit supply cache.
