This light is incredibly well-made and fills so many different needs.
First being able to lock out the button, to prevent accidental activation … amazing. Moon light perfect for checking on medical equipment on a sleeping patient, low works great to check pupil, size without blinding, and of course, low high and turbo are great for seeing distance or covering a lot of area with bright light. When you work in a very rural area with only one partner and law-enforcement is very far away on your EMS call, I am a strong advocate of having a nice strobing affect as that puts the reactionary gap in your favor.
Bottom line, quality light, great features, excellent, charging time and length of use
I have had many lights. But non of them gave me everything I wanted. Until now. The magnet, clip, modes and size make this a essential pocket tool for me. I love that if I am in a pinch I can throw in a AA battery if need be. I just purchased a second light just in case I every need a replacement. Simply put, just buy it.
The package, especially with the 14500 battery and charger, is great. The ability to swap a higher voltage 14500 battery or an often easily available AA it a very positive design feature. And the ease of clicking and going through the modes easily and obviously is optimal. Quality is of the usually high standard of Maratac products. The only thing I'd like better is improved documentation.

great upgrade from a well worn out AA
This flashlight sounded like it had all the features I was looking for when I bought it, and it lives up to my expectations fantastically.
I love that it retains the last setting you used so there's no need to cycle through the intensity settings like most small lights. I really wanted the power button on the side of the light after finding the butt cap button to be cumbersome on my previous light. I also appreciate the removable battery for recharging. I've purchased a second battery so I never have down time waiting for the light to charge.
I don't often use the lowest 2 lumen settings in my field, but I can see where they might be handy in an edc environment. Am awesome little pocket light for a mechanic that was cheaper and far handier than the typical tool truck lights.
