After his debut in our Solingen production line with the Haddock, Cox and 67, Jens Ansø from Denmark brings new models to our Boker Plus line. The Albatros boasts massive, 3.6mm thick titanium plates that form the basis for the frame lock. Between the plates sits the 5mm thick blade, made of VG-10 steel, which with its bulbous edge and slight hollow grind allows versatility and excellent cutting performance. The titanium pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry, and the large lanyard hole completes the package.

ok first off let me tell you, I love the knife now. There are two issues I currently have with it, one more serious than the other.
Let me first tell you how I solved the issue with the blade not fully engaging and locking. For me when the pocket clip is having the tip up in the pocket (which is how it comes) the way your hand holds this small knife when deploying it from your pocket doesnt give you good grip for completely engaging with power - hence it does not fully engage the lock. So I just turned the pocket clip around and now when I pull the knife out of the pocket, the knife is tilted at such an angle to make the work of opening the blade a bit effortless and completely engages the knife.
Now for the bad parts
1. The carbon fiber looks a bit rough through manufacturing - not a big deal for me since I plan on beating this knife up. One of the reasons I chose a D2 steel knife.
2. This issue however, I am a little surprised at. The blade centering is not correct and the knife rubs up against the carbon fiber. I just figured at this level of knife that would not be an issue.
Other than that, I completely now love this knife when using it - the lightly bit I have used it so far on paper and cardboard. It is razor sharp and melts cardboard as if it wasnt there.
Took me a bit to get used to not feeling the knife because it is so light, but now I love it.
Awesome knife! Crazy sharp when I received it, and normally almost no knife I buy is sharp enough for my standards. Beautiful knife, awesome construction, and perfect EDC.
I have over the years invested in hundreds of knives and one of my favorites was the Booker Albatross but mine was lost. Now that I have purchased again in this new version I am so very happy with this knife and it’s once again my favorite. Countycomm delivered it fast and this knife arrived very sharp with easy deployment action. All the titanium spacers and lanyard bead added to the already accent design as well as the carbon fiber and titanium handle. This is truly a Mighty Mayhem!!!
First off, I want to say that this knife is absolutely beautiful. When I first saw the marbled carbon fiber I was sold. Also to find a blade stonewashed with this type of handle material is hard to find. It fits perfectly in my hand. I am a 5'3 female, so my hands are pretty tiny.
I decided to use the knife to open an early Christmas gift for my pet birds, another cage expansion. ; D I am not proud to say that I cut right between my thumb muscle and the rest of my palm. I had to get 10 stitches! I have been a Chef for almost 6 years, and I have NEVER cut myself this bad before. It is safe to say that this knife is HELLA sharp.
