After his debut in our Solingen production line with the Haddock, Cox and 67, Jens Ansø from Denmark brings new models to our Boker Plus line. The Albatros boasts massive, 3.6mm thick titanium plates that form the basis for the frame lock. Between the plates sits the 5mm thick blade, made of VG-10 steel, which with its bulbous edge and slight hollow grind allows versatility and excellent cutting performance. The titanium pocket clip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry, and the large lanyard hole completes the package.

First off, I want to say that this knife is absolutely beautiful. When I first saw the marbled carbon fiber I was sold. Also to find a blade stonewashed with this type of handle material is hard to find. It fits perfectly in my hand. I am a 5'3 female, so my hands are pretty tiny.
I decided to use the knife to open an early Christmas gift for my pet birds, another cage expansion. ; D I am not proud to say that I cut right between my thumb muscle and the rest of my palm. I had to get 10 stitches! I have been a Chef for almost 6 years, and I have NEVER cut myself this bad before. It is safe to say that this knife is HELLA sharp.
I love small thick blade knives. The addition of the carbon fiber on this knife was done very well. I was happy to get one before they disappear.
Nice little chopper. Feels like half the weight of the full titanium version. But still has heft. The jimping on the frame lock and blade is a nice upgrade from the original. The blue anodized thumb stud and hardware is eye catching. Only thing I dislike is the pocket clip, kinda flimsy and cheap looking.
This unique Albatross is a really great knife. Small little tank in the hand and really nice.
This short, nearly quarter inch thick, beautifully stonewashed blade sits perfectly between titanium and marble carbon fiber liner slabs with flawless fit and finish. Despite its stout build, it is surprisingly light in weight and is an ideal EDC blade, at least for me. VG-10 steel with excellent corrosion resistance for humid climates and a sharp out of the box hollow grind, all at an extremely reasonable price, you ought to get one right now and avoid having to wait another five years as I did when Boker discontinued the line until its current re-emergence.
