The Pocket Notebook Cover by Maratac is not only an improvement of the standard military issue model but a complete redesign for increased efficiency in the same space. In an effort of non-stop quality improvement we decided to have a production run made of 1000 Denier.
The exterior features two large pocket with Velcro® secured nylon flaps and 3 separate pockets for pens and other EDC gear. The bottom of the Notebook Holder features a hook and loop strap for easily securing your notepad at all times.
We immediately fell in love with the Pocket Notebook Covers because they have so much to offer. Our friends are using them in range bags, first aid kits, automobile emergency kits, bicycle travel packs, first responder kits and holding your daily check book. You will probably have a ton of ideas too.
Works with most 4" x 6" Note Pads up to 120 pages ( Example : Rite In Rain )
Size: 6.5" x5" x.5 "
Notebook is 50 pages ( not waterproof paper )
Got the Pocket Notebook cover for logging ham radio contacts during portable ops and it works great, even at night with the small slot pocket for a small flashlight.
I use this to carry my small 3 x 5" flip style notebook even though its made for the larger style. It is flatter in my cargo pocket and lighter weight. Putting the smaller notebook in also frees up some room for other gear: My sharpie, pen, small bic lighter, USB thumb drive and a bunch of business cards. The cover is more of a pouch, but it looks nice and hides well.

Good copy of the originals we had parachute riggers sew up to fit in SV2 vest or BDU pocket. Old ideas which work never go out of style. Combine with Space Pen, Grease Pencil, Sharpie Marker and Rite In the Rain notebook and you are good to go. Have draft medevac and fire support mission partially filled out to fill in coordinates and authentication code for when "it" hits the fan...
