A NOTE FROM THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT: WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF VERY HIGH QUALITY / HIGH DRAIN 21700 or 18650 BATTERIES WITH THIS FLASHLIGHT. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF HIGHER VOLTAGE BATTERIES.
ALSO, THE LIGHT WILL BECOME WARM / HOT IN TURBO MODE IF THIS IS USED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD. BEST USE FOR TURBO BURST IS LESS THAN 90 SECONDS. ALWAYS BE CAUTIOUS WHEN USING ANY HIGH POWERED LIGHTS. ANY ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THESE LIGHTS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. NEVER EVER BLOCK THE FRONT OF THE LIGHT WHEN ON! SAFETY IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN AND ALWAYS CHARGE LITHIUM CELLS IN A SAFE DRY PLACE.
A solid, grippy flood light. Runs hot but it’s well regulated. Nice wide flood beam that covers a wider area than most of my other lights.
Great light, but...
I really like this light, it has a good feel in my hand and nice flexibility in batteries. My one objection is that it turns on in whatever the next mode up happens to be. I prefer to have my EDC flashlight come on at full power, then click down as needed. I always carry a flashlight, both as a light source and as a defensive tool. I would feel pretty silly if I tried to blind an attacker--and the light turned on at 2 lumens.
A user manual would have also been nice.

Bright and has a nice flood. The machining is excellent and people always comment on that first. The clip is nice and strong and the button on the butt is great. One of my absolute favorites.
As many have said, a very impressive light! Great materials, construction, features, performance, etc.
My only complaint is no memory or programming features. I use the light every night to take out the dog, but it would get more use as my pocket EDC light if it had some kind of memory so it could come out of my pocket on the 3rd setting for target ID. This light is cool enough though that I'm considering finally adding a weapon light to my carry gun so I can make the Dawn my EDC work light instead of my current pocket light that is both tactical/work right now.
But as a general usage light, starting at the low setting is really good so that it doesn't blind you as a great nav light that lasts forever and you can crank it up through the rest of the settings and bring the dawn!
This light is compact, incredibly bright, and very well constructed. The battery runs for a long time. Aside from my single AAA and AA lights, which are always on me, this light has displaced all of my other "big" lights. Highly recommended.
