We've owned the Peanut for two months and it beats our previous favorite Keychain light hands down. Two levels and the high, really puts out the lumens. A steal at the sale price.
Saw this a while back, and had a hard time believing something so small would be able to put out the advertised lumens. Had to try it. Yes! They really are that bright! I have no measuring equipment, so my judgement is subjective, but I have both the copper AAA and CR123 lights from Maratac, and if they are accurate, I'd say the brightness is as-advertised. Quite impressive. I also ordered 2 extra batteries, as the run-time is as expected a bit short. Though it makes a great emergency light for keychain carry. Plenty of time to change a tire at night, or find the candles, when a storm kills the lights (we had tornados last week, and this thing provided plenty of light to get things in order, after a power outage.) I love this little thing. Put a Titanium ring on it, and it goes with me everywhere.
It's very easy to recharge, but I can see why they include so many extra o-rings. It wouldn't take much to wear them out, with all the on/off of the caps. If you just keep the light in reserve, that wouldn't be a problem, but it's a nice touch to have all the extras, especially when you can't resist playing with the thing. Just keep the charging cap next to your computer for when you need to charge it. It's small, and would be easy to lose, so you may need a secure container, so it doesn't roll away.
Now, if it came in copper, I'd definitely need another. They are currently on sale, and I'm very tempted to pick up a second one, but my wife would question my sanity, at that point.
