Love the knife, unfortunately my first one had an issue with the stop pin rubbing on the scale causing less than stellar action. Mike was very responsive to emails and got me a replacement out asap! This is not my first Olamic and I know they also stand behind their product but it being a new purchase Mike did right by me and handled it on his perfectly. My replacement is flawless and will make a great EDC knife. Really dig the sheepscliffe blade! Don't let my initial issue effect your decision to get one, every now and again things like this happen, the difference is how the companies handle it, and this was handled the right way, start to finish.
I’ve been eyeing Olamic knives for a while now but found the semi-custom nature the finish to be too pretty for practical use, not to mention the high price tag. I knew if I bought one with the fancy finish, it’ll at most be a safe queen or display only piece. Leave it to CountyComm to make an otherwise excellent mid-tech knife into a practical EDC tool. The heavy acid wash starts out as plain Jane, but nicely wears into the user’s hand and daily carry patterns, kind of like a reverse patina, revealing the bare titanium and steel underneath. At first I was hesitant to carry such a pricier knife around (coming from ~$100 knives). But then I realized it is much like a nice wallet or watch that may cost as much and is just as important for daily use. Fit and finish are impeccable, the blade is still shaving sharp, and ergonomics are excellent. I look forward to a lifetime of use, perhaps even passing it on as an heirloom some day.
This is a nice knife, the pictures do not do it justice. Very lightweight, smooth opening, outstanding workmanship. Very satisfied!
This is by far the best knife I have owned. And I own quite a few. I have the drop point version. The balance is perfect , the stonewash is heavy and hides and scratches you may put into it. The blade is razor sharp directly out of package. The full cage bearing is sssssmmmmmmooooootttthhhh. Especially after you wear past the wash on the blade ( completely hidden). I like the ceramic ball on the titanium pocket clip. The complete look is fantastic. I hope you grab this before they are gone. Plus only 23 ever being made for CC. And they will never be made again!! I Love love love love this knife. You will not regret this purchase after you get your hands on it. It will have to be taken from my cold dead fingers i n order For me to part with this knife.
What a knife! I am proud to own # 22/23H - the next to the last of this variant made by Olamic. I think it is actually the last one sold, because the knife showed out of stock right after I ordered it. I hesitated to buy for a long time due to what I thought was a ridiculously high price - until I investigated Olamic Tactical. This knife is the real deal. It works perfectly and is shaving sharp. The acid washed finish is durable and very low key. The flipping mechanism and lock are flawless. This is the most practical custom knife I own and is truly meant to be a working knife, not a safe queen. It has been my EDC knife every day since it arrived. I see that they have at least one more of the Tanto blade variant available - better buy it before I do!
