I have to say, Boker really has a winner here and has perfected the multi-tool with this version. Here is why:
First the quality. It is well constructed with G10 fiberglass Matte laminate handles that feel great in the hand with excellent grip. The weight is well distributed and using it will be balanced enough for any task. Amazing attention to detail. Love the safety orange color, which looks really good in person. Along with the cutouts for the pocket clip! Which in my opinion, every multi-tool needs to have. Are you listening Wenger Swiss army? It is a durable stainless steel and strong reversible pocket clip that can be placed either tip up or tip down carry. Brilliant! The Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel is a good steel with excellent edge performance allowing razor sharpness, high hardness, exceptional toughness and good corrosion resistance. I love that they added great tools that really are needed for everyday tasks. Here is what you’ll get; Saw Blade(love it!), Scissors(my favorite), Reemer Awl(my belt will get new holes after the holidays), Carbide glass breaker(this will come in handy for sure), Phillips screwdriver(yes!), Flat screwdriver with wire stripper(and bottle opener), small serrated strap cutter blade with small screwdriver tip(underrated tool and is great for cutting rope), foldable lanyard ring. I attached a lanyard and is easier to remove it from the pocket. Overall, Boker did an outstanding job with this multi-tool and thank you Countycomm for bringing to me!
Exceptionally nice multitool that somehow packs a slew of highly functional tools in a fairly compact package. This unit is small enough to carry without screaming "nerd alert" and the Sandvick/orange contrast has a certain sculptural appeal. Moreover, this is a very solid unit; picking it up side-by-side with a comparable SAK the Boker is MUCH heavier, clearly a higher grade steel. The tools are sharp, easy to deploy and super functional. An integrated light would be a great add-on.
I think it's safe to say at this point that I'm hooked on these Bokers, and this one certainly does not disappoint. I love the additional features on this model; the scissors feel solidly built and the reamer/awl & saw blade are quality pieces you'd expect to see in a Boker. I also like that you can't just get these versions anywhere, a little exclusivity never hurts. A definite upgrade for my camping pack, but will likely slip into my daily rotation as well.
