First off, I've bought probably 10-15 of the Dyneema Matrix Card Holders version, because i really love them and I've given them to multiple friends and family over the last 3-4+ years, so I have a pretty good idea of the difference between these and the older Dyneema ones. I've had WELL OVER 300+ wallets throughout my life, as I'm a huge shell cordovan and cowhide MINIMALIST wallet collector. So tons of experience with wallets 😂
This is VERY well made and I love that it comes in multiple colors. As ALWAYS, the Maratac quality is top notch and I don't see anything wrong with these as far as the construction of them. I got the Anvil Grey color. The piping and double stitching around the sides and at the ends of all of the XPAC is extremely well done (just like the Dyneema version) and the stitching and piping itself is all very straight and done professionally on a sewing machine!!!! Great work Maratac!
This may not be a problem for people carrying more cards and cash than I do, and some might like this MORE, but I only carry 5 cards and the occasional few bills of cash, and this thing is WAY too loose to carry that amount of stuff. It's looser because it's wider than the Dyneema ones. So that could be a plus or minus for you depending on your daily carry amount. I myself prefer the Dyneema version as those have ALWAYS been perfectly tight with as little as a few cards all of the way up to 6+ cards and numerous bills! But since they're not quite as wide, the Dyneema are obviously tighter on the contents inside! As far as stretching or being resistant to stretching, like Dyneema, I can't comment on that!
Take this with a grain of salt though, because I ONLY ordered one of these just to test them out, so maybe i got one that is just an oddball size and somehow made slightly wider than the rest?
But overall, the quality is fantastic and i have ZERO doubts that these will probably last forever and far outlive me haha. And the multiple colors make them far less boring than the Dyneema ones! If you carry more than 5-6+ cards and/or regularly carry more US bills than i do, this should be a wonderful addition to your EDC loadout ✌️🙏👍💯
