County Comm’s new Gen 8 Bail Out Bag is here to change your thoughts on Bail Out Bags.
History: Did you know County Comm started the “Bail Out Bag” craze back in 2001 for our friends at Los Angeles Police Department (no relation to the gear store)? There were 7 generations of the bag made. Each generation was better than the generation before it. In 2008 we became disgusted with unscrupulous retailers copying our original designs and taking the name “Bail Out Bag” as their own, so we stopped production until we could make something revolutionary
For the last year we have been working on developing the “Ultimate Bail Out Bag”. We call it B.O.B. Gen 8
Some of B.O.B. Gen 8’s features include:
Main Compartment: 14”long X 6”wide X 11”tall
Side Compartment (Lined with Loop): 14”long X 2”wide X 8”tall
Two zippered side pouches, each: 7”long, 8.5”tall X 2”deep
Padded shoulder strap made of soft 2” nylon webbing
Main compartment lined with hook on one side and twin zippered net pocket.
Covert interior pocket
1.5” soft nylon seatbelt webbing
Double zipper pulls on all exterior pockets
Large loop patches on outside for ID Patches 1ea: 6”X4”. 2ea: 4.25”X3”.
Very well thought out, works great in the front seat of my command vehicle to put radios, pens and tactical worksheet forms.
Great bag, value ok
This really is a great bag. Like a previous reviewer I removed the Velcro panels to get a more low pro civilian look. I was in NYC and looked for a new bag. Lots of choices, lots of well made heavy nylon Cordura bags.
I have several Tom Bihn bags and like how they are US made with high quality materials and hardware.
This bag is made in China and lists at $130. The value is no go at that price. It seems to be sold at $98 which is probably the real list price. And at $98 it’s pricey. The nylon seems like to should be a tad heavier and sewn tighter. The bottom is fine but the bag seems too light at a hundred clams. The real price for this ought to be about $79.00.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a killer design, absolutely love the many pockets and design. Really brilliant.
To make it a killer bag beef up the nylon fabric, use YKK zippers and make the shoulder strap heavier. The 3 tabbed shoulder cushion is a great design too.
Why not manufacture in the US of A?
One change to make it perfect
I just got the bag today and immediately put it to use. I have one suggestion for Gen 8.1. The inside of the bag is PITCH BLACK. Instead of using black velcro and black mesh pockets on the inside, a much lighter material, grey or tan would reflect some light inside the bag and make it easier to find things.
Nice flight Bag
Using this bag has my grab n go flight bag, love it!
Going to buy my uncle one who’s a pilot as well, really just the right size and a ton of compartments!
