I bought this out of curiosity, and the longer I have it, the more possible uses I discover for this little box.
The box is very well made. The walls are adequately thick, and it seems overall very durable while remaining sleek and lightweight. The action is absolutely smooth; it can be closed in the blink of an eye, and it’s enjoyable to play with. Opening it requires just enough effort to prevent accidental opening. The design looks fantastic to me, and the lanyard hole is a nice touch. I absolutely recommend it.
Of all the capsules and containers CC has to offer, I think this is my favorite for EDC. The slim design allows it to sit in your pocket without adding bulk. The triangular shape means you can fit more than you’d expect to be able to. Great for meds, small screws, mints, or whatever other small items you might need to carry. The slide mechanism is addicting to fidget with. The magnets provide a satisfying click as it locks into each position. Which also makes it very easy to access your items quickly. No unscrewing and having to hold two different parts of the container. The small lanyard hole at the top is great for attaching to a keychain, backpack, it just adding a lanyard to grab onto. My only ideas for improvement would be to find a way to silence the contents from rattling in your pocket. Either with a felt/silicone lining or using a softer material for the body. Which brings me to my next wish, for this to be made in delrin as well. But even without these additions, this is still one of my favorite containers on the site.
I bought this box on a whim and discovered, that I rather like to fidget with the sliding lid then to use it as a container, it is very satisfying. And despite endless "slidings" it works and looks as new.
...has never been better! Being a fool for slide boxes, it is no small thing to say this one's my favorite. My first in this particular shape and material, is mighty smooth, Darlin'... moreso than the wood and ti. The delrin box is comparable to this in the slipping and sliding department.
