Original government use unknown. We have a limited overrun of Delrin® boxs. We are not quite sure what Uncle Sam is putting in his lightweight capsules, but we are using ours to keep small important items close and secure. Brand new, never used, overrun from government contract.

Good pill box with a wad of cotton to stifle rattling. Can’t be afraid to bear down on the lid to open. It’s firm. I’ve found cotton in the middle will separate different pills and you can push from either direction to access separately.
These things are so cool but even the big one is too small. I got my wife one of the small ones for her wedding rings when she travels for business and such and then saw there was a bigger version so I got it for myself. It's bigger but not THAT big. Way cool still but I'll have to figure out what to keep in it as I don't have any medical issues so pills aren't the answer. I can definitely use it when I travel to stash jewellery items in. If you have a hearing aid or anything that's small, delicate and valuable this would be great. Love the concept!
Finally a delrin box in somewhat larger size. The lid has three detents for closed, half and full opened. I use mine for medication when I'm away from home for some days. Being a diabetic, four tablets in three sorts are needed per day, so a little bit of organization is always
a good thing. Looking forward for an ultem version. Sometimes it's better to see what's inside ...
The big kahuna, is just that. Good size, it holds the original pocket box with room to spare, it is going to be the new home for my thumb drives and SD cards. Highly recommend!
This is great for storage.
It is crush proof and the ball bearing closure is very secure.
