It's fine however the ad states signal mirrors, as in plural while I only received one mirror, unless of course they're counting the mirror on one side and the printed matter on the rear. But as for me I indicate in the two added photos the one ad indicating two mirrors and the other photo of what I received. The ad photo indicates two mirrors EACH with an orange pull-strap on a case. I only received one mirror and one case with an orange pull strap. I'm probably missing something here, but I just don't know. Someone will eventually need to reach out to CC and ask them about this matter.
Great little signal mirror for kayak/wilderness survival pack. Solid protective packaging. Super light weight. Good operating instructions . Reasonable price.
I was on a Caribbean island with a shore party of 5 people from a boat that was at anchor in the bay. When the captain radioed the crew, they did not answer. The crew were not monitoring the radio.
So I pulled out the signal mirror and signaled other guests that were on the back deck of the boat playing cards. They saw the flash and looked through a pair of binoculars and saw it was us. Once they notified the crew, they launched a boat to come and get us.
A $500 dollar radio did not work because the people we wanted to reach were not ready to receive our message. But the signal mirror worked because anyone with eyes can see the signal.
Great full size survival signaling mirror perfect for bugout bags and hiking kits. Larger size gives a much more ample surface to reflect sunlight and be seen with, and does double duty as a dopp kit mirror in the field. Comes with a nice nylon stash pouch that also can be used to hold other smaller survival items like water purification tablets, or fish hooks.
It is quite a bit lighter than the military mirror I have been carrying for years. It seems just as bright andy easy to use. It has gone into my edc as a reliable piece of gear.
