I bought this as an afterthought (I believe it was in sale at the time).
As it turns out, this is the BEST watch pocket knife that you’ll ever find. The amount of slicing surface relative to the overall size and weight of the knife is ridiculous.
And it’s sharp as shit…yes - I managed to slice myself open on it because I stupidly underestimated a CC product. I have no scientific basis to judge the quality of their D2, but I own at least 200 knives in all price ranges, and this sure seems like it’s a quality heat treat.
It’s light, it’s nimble, it’s extremely well-made. I can’t think of anything that really compares with this one because of its form factor…just be careful.
I confess I purchased this knife for its "oddity" value. I have used it for several weeks now and the compact size and flat shape have found its way into my shirt pocket and my jeans "watch" pocket. It is very handy for the everyday cord cutting, box opening, tape cutting, and cardboard slicing duties. I like the feel in my hand as it gives great control while performing that work.
Great pocket knife. The blade really holds its edge. Fits my smaller hands perfectly. Love that it fits in your coin pocket. No clip to expose that fact that you're carrying.
When it comes to CountyComm am never quite sure if it’s some goverment overrun for a specific and secret use that Mike and the guys brainstorm something that plausibly debatable as for a civilian use…or some test run item in response to a goverment contract or simply some test run item for EDC nerds. So I bought this knife for the latter as I am an EDC nerd and it was on sale and so unique was like why not add to collection. In truth I think the jean watch pocket is all BS or otherwise coincidental This knife appears built for a purpose, it’s a very wide belly D2 blade like on a skinning knife and despite the sharp edges of the carbon handle has surprisingly good ergonomics and control. It’s also extremely well built. It’s a skinner or slasher for sure. This is a tool knife for sure, maybe part of some survival kit , I don’t know. But I agree it unassuming printing and no clip. I actually like in my pants pocket at the office wearing slacks as it sits well in the pocket flush with my card wallet. However it’s not the most practical EDC blade style. But it’s still super cool and definitely has a modernist / minimalist style that will strike conversation and not the bad kind “oh look at that scary knife” etc. so if want something unique to carry around , or you need it to skin wild game for food after getting shot down behind enemy lines, it’s a good purchase across the board.
Well made
Super sharp
