Customer Reviews
Great flickly pocket knife, I carry it often and it's well built
Three pocket knives. Right is the Maratec Ultem Topo-Trekker D2. Middle is the Vosteed Porcupine. And left is the Vosteed Racoon 2.0 with white scales. These three knives rotate as my EDC. All three great little knives. I would be hard pressed to make a choice.
I am not a hard use kind of guy anymore, but frankly, these knives would stand up to anything you're likely to throw at them. Would I carry one of them into combat? Probably not, but for basic carry, they are all great. Decent steel, good ergonomics, light weight, and the price is right. I'd buy the Porcupine again, and as a matter of fact, I bought one each for my son and my son-in-law, who is an active duty SEAL. They both love their Porcupines. as do I.
I’m used to carrying higher end knives, so I wasn’t expecting the Porcupine to compete with premium titanium folders or higher-end steels. That said, I’m impressed with what Vosteed delivered for the money. The Top Liner Lock is easy to operate, the action is smooth, and the knife feels solid and comfortable in hand.
The 14C28N blade steel isn’t an exotic “super steel,” but it’s actually a very practical choice—it’s tough, highly corrosion resistant, takes a very good edge, and is much easier to sharpen than many premium steels.
You can tell where some of the cost savings are compared with a high-end knife, but nothing about it feels cheap. For an everyday-use knife at this price, I think Vosteed punched well above its weight.
4.5/5 for the price.
I have never received a bad product from County Comm, Really love the knives!
