It came well packed ( vacuumed bag ).This one beats any of your major league knives. The blade is thick and sharp like a razor, you can literally pry anything and it won't bend. Fits well in my large hands. The micarta is ruff, no slipping. Solid Military grade kydex sheat with a nice belt clip. Maybe in the future, there will be a mini version for small edc missions lol....
072/500 here. Really close to the one in the video. A word about the micarta handle scales. I massaged mine with a course wire brush to rough up the surface a bit. In my mind, the magic of micarta is how the fabric in the micarta feels in your hand. Grippy, but a soft texture. These do not have that feel out of the package because they are flat and not shape contoured by sanding. These appear to have the diamonds pressed into the surface, so there wasn't anything to remove that top layer of epoxy. I am including some photos. The handles are before and after, top one after roughing them up with the wire brush. Now the difference is like a new pair of jeans vs that same pair after a dozen washes. Out of the package if felt like the ultem handles, but now they have a unique feel that is nicer. I'd caution against using a wire wheel on a grinder, so you don't buff down the diamond texture. Little at a time, check. Do some more until you're happy. I also heat treated the Titanium hardware. I'll probably give them a light coat of neatsfoot oil like I've done with other micarta handles. That should darken them a shade. I think this one is going to be my favorite of the four types. The one thing that is driving me crazy. Where's the damn electric cord on this thing. The warning label says " Turn off and unplug before cleaning or servicing" . LOL
