This Marlin Spike is awesome for knot work on rope and paracord. It's also useful for other daily tasks you might run into while carrying it. It's very light and compact so adding this to my everyday carry was not an issue. This spike does its job very handily. You can gripe it very easily and it goes down to a small point that slides into the knot to loosen it very nicely. This is a definite go along when camping
