Brass Lighters come in: Split Pea, Peanut, and Peanut XL
After the outstanding response we received with the Standard Peanut Lighters ( Titanium and Stainless Steel ) our staff members wondered what could be done to make it better. How about Brass for silky smooth threads and a germicidal reducing properties.
After numerous responses and requests with the Standard Peanut and Split Pea Lighters our staff members wondered what could be done to make it better. The answer is make it bigger and also increase the size of the spark wheel for even easier use with and without gloves. These two changes make a dramatic difference in extended runtime and versatility of use in any condition. The XL Peanut Lighter is also perfect for extended trips where you will need more than a few days of firestarting.
Fire is one of mankind's greatest inventions. Non-smoker, but I used to keep a few disposable lighters around in my jacket pockets - great for heating a key to free up a frozen lock, or to melt the end of a synthetic line. Then the lawyers 'fixed' them so most either don't work or have a flame too small to be useful. Here is a great replacement. Lighter fluid doesn't evaporate due to the O-ring - flame is there when you need it. Only reason I can't give 5 stars - I had to open up the hole by 1/64" to fit even the tiny split ring. My guess Maratac will have it fixed by the time you read this. I also bought the titanium version, which was absolutely flawless.
Knife, light, multi tool, check. Lighter...?
The brass peanut lighter is an excellent addition to my keychain. It works great, it is the right size and blends nicely to my titanium and brass Every Day Carry. Highly recommended.
I’ve been using the anodized version of this lighter for a couple years with complete satisfaction. I only ordered the brass lighter to match my brass AAA flashlight. With a solid heft and classy design the brass items really are nice for EDC and I expect will last for years of constant use.
Got the Peanut XL and was surprised at how solid this thing is. Tight tolerances, aesthetically pleasing, and does what it advertises. I filled it up when I got it, used it several times, and still have a flame immediately. I highly recommend this item for anyone who wants or needs a reliable source of flame.
