Necessity is the mother of invention. Our development team wanted a simple rugged pen without a cap, and minimal moving parts and distractions for use in the shop.


  • There’s sufficient thread engaged with the barrel to maintain a solid connection, and there’s enough friction in the threads such that the tail cap won’t accidentally unscrew the rest of the way.
  • Pen tip retracts into the head when not in use

Any other company would have gone to the office supply store and bought a box of "stick" type pens and be done with it. Not our crew. We spent weeks re-inventing and improving the lowly stick pen into a engineering masterpiece that we enjoy using. We know you will enjoy it too.

Finally a pen for the purist. There are no distractors on this pen. It's stiff straight shaft provides a comfortable grip for extended use. 

One of our team members, who is also a pilot discovered that the thin clipless design fits perfectly in the thin pen pockets on his military flight suit, and it's name was born. He shared a few samples with his friends and the word is out. The Titanium Flight Suit Pen is a big success among flight crews at our local air base.

Quality Ti Pen

I really enjoy this Ti pen because it slides right into the flight jacket slot or backpack pen slot. If there was one request, it would be to offer an optional pocket clip.

Slightly Squeaky

Love this pen, just remember to order refills with it! There's a slight squeak when turning the cartridge down, but this is easily remedied with a dab of oil or grease on the threads. Nevertheless another great County Comm pen!

Prehospital Notes

I have a Rite in Rain 3x5" note pad and cover. Behind the pad, are coTCCC casualty cards, a 9-Line form and an eraser. In the pen slots, a pilot's pen and spare cartridge, a Sharpie (marking tourniquets) and a lead holder (pencil). Through the Molly on the back, is a light stick, held in place by a ranger band. Smallest package, biggest bang I can find, for patient documentation. Pen has always worked, and I haven't lost it yet.

30 years FD/EMS, I carry this to document the care rendered prior to the arrival of the cavalry. It becomes part of the patients' medical record. The note pad is there for notes beyond the casualty cards. All from Rite in Rain so is unaffected, by weather. Your pen works well with their paper, no smudge or run. Absolutely reliable. The pencil is a tertiary back up. I normally have a headlamp or my pen light, the light stick, is "never say never".

Awesome pen!!

This is just a straight forward no nonsense pen, BUT, made out of titanium!!! It writes very well and isn't burdensome to carry. I love the look and feel of this finely crafted work of art! Thank you County Comm!!
