APX8000

I got this to use as a go bag for my APX8000 it holds the radio and a spare battery in the main part and a speaker mic in the other part with room to spare. So far I love it everything all in one place when I run out the door. I have recommended it to a few friends for APX and Harris Radios.

Excellent product.

This bag exceeded my expectations.

I bought this bag to carry my GP-7 SSB radio and accessories. The bag is very sturdily made and well designed. The main pouch not only has room for the radio in the pouch (the one with the front pouch for the ferrite antenna), but also has room for the spare silicone case (I am now using the exoskeleton). In the front pouch I keep the headphones in one of the little pockets, the belt clip under one of the elastic bands, and the USB cable, extended runtime charger and two spare batteries in the zipper pouch. The grab handle on the outside is really handy. A++++

Outstanding Piece of Gear

Excellent for "in hand" or "on the hip" radio storage. REALLY WELL PADDED compartments; solid, efficient DOUBLE zippers; AMPLE "velcro patch" space; appreciably modest belt loop (my 1 1/2" belt is very snug; for bigger belts-use the "hand grip"; outer pouch has useful two card slots + Zip Mesh Compartment; inner pouch is GLORIOUSLY PADDED (with NO place to tempt you to put potentially damaging "Fiddly Bits" which might hurt your "precious" main radio--either use the outer pouch for those or put such BELOW the radio. Inner pouch is 9 x 3 x 2 1/2" (with some expansion room); outer pouch is a little smaller.
METICULOUSLY designed, cut, and sewn. [Nifty little "nylon resting piece" at bottom.] This is "MARATAC" at its finest. While it's true that my most used radios are much smaller than 9" [I'm mostly using mobile VHF and similar smaller units; no Sat phones for my budget], I can put extra batteries; VHF roll up antennas;/cables; and other similar items BELOW THE UNITS--where they will not risk damaging valuable electronics by pressing on buttons or body of radio units--I may install a super simple "floor" of stiff nylon below the radios. I have yet to use "hand grip" much, but I like the concept--"it's a nice option".

When the smaller case again becomes available, I'll hasten to buy one for my little Yaesus, one of my CBs, or my GP SSB Rev 1 or Rev 2. [I'm mostly into to mobile VHF and similar modes using smaller radios.]
