Limited Introduction From Surplus
Easy to read, carry, use for cardinal directions
Not a junk crappy liquid filled compass. I've been wearing it for months in all weather and shower no water intrusion. Best one I've found in long time looking for one. A former top notch compass is now a offshore liquid filled trash not worth even picking up has been replaced with it.
My recommendation is to buy at least 2 of them. Not a first choice land navigation compass but a backup one. Great for getting Cardinal directions and general navigation.
I bought 2 of them the last time I ordered from here. One I've put into "daily use" wearing it around my neck. So far no water intrusion from sweat or showering. I have been trying to find a quality non liquid damper compass for a long time to replace the one I had in past. Marble compass is now a offshore liquid filled junk or toy. I've not found any liquid filled compass that doesn't develop bubbles and not work correctly. Is this a proper land navigation compass not really but it will do for most as a backup or last ditch one. As it's made for. I would trust it more than about any liquid filled one except for scuba diving the only place for a liquid filled compass. But they develop bubbles too and have to be replaced. My recommendation is to buy at least two. Well worth what you pay for it. Use one pack away the spare for later.
Was looking for a small, reliable compass to keep in my EDC pouch. This is the one! So far, really good choice. Thanks.
This is an efficient, well made basic directional compass and will serve a Soldier or traveler well as a backup to the issue compass or one small enough to have with you all the time as a traveler who may need a guide to get where you need to be. You can put it in your shoulder bag and forget about it until its needed. When that need occurs this will not fail you. How can you afford not to have one with you.
