Maratac® did it again. They took the U.S. Government specifications watchbands and then made them better. Maratac® made these new bands better and stronger than U.S. Military spec # MIL-S-46383. Maratac® used their ultrasonic drilling process to cut perfect holes that eliminate rough spots around the holes. These new Maratac® Mil Series bands feature non-magnetic Titanium buckles. How could it get better? Maratac® added more colors and larger selection of sizes than Uncle Sam ever thought of.
What are the advantages of Titanium hardware?:
- Even more corrosion resistant than stainless steel.
- Length 11"
- Lighter weight than Stainless.
- Low/No Magnetic Signiture (Non-Magnetic)
- Titanium has a dull grey non-reflective appearance.
- Stronger than Stainless (Remember it’s a watchstrap, not a tow strap, so this is a moot point)

I bought this because I wanted a nylon strap with titanium hardware that was less rugged-looking than the Zulu straps sold here, in case I wanted to dress up my watch a little more. It looks great, and the hardware is very light and elegant. The keeper works very well and has just the right diameter for tucking in the excess. It's a little thinner than the Zulu strap and therefore perhaps a tiny bit less comfortable, but still a joy to wear. I wish these came in more colors with the titanium buckle, because I would buy them all, but especially the grey. Will happily buy again.
Maratac has a tradition of tough-as-nails watch bands. This band, with a titanium buckle, is no exception. I made one modification to the band. It was a tad too long on my wrist. I trimmed it down for a better fit. Good Job, Maratac!
I have four of these straps on different watches, and they are the best made straps I have ever bought. The look high end, and the titanium buckles match my titanium watch cases perfectly. They are super comfortable, and there is plenty of length for big wrists.
I've tried NATO straps from multiple companies and Maratac's are by far the best value. The price is right, yet they don't feel cheap. Looking forward to purchasing more in the future!
Great looking band but to me a bit visually unbalanced (Titanium hardware looks too small for the band) when compared to the bands with the SS hardware (excluding the NATO type bands). My only observation is that the actual titanium hardware (pin?) to me appears to be too small for the strap particularly with the holes. When the strap is "stressed" on your wrist the pin appears to overly deform around the strap hole (possible longevity issues?). It doesn't seem to fit as well as the stainless steel hardware that is more substantial in size (diameter) that gives one more confidence in wearing it when working or during active sport activities. Perhaps with the titanium bands you may need to consider smaller holes or increase the size of the pin noting that titanium is stronger than SS...IMO.
