The XL Flint Sparker Titanium Kit by Maratac is the perfect backup to your Peanut XL Lighter and the Titan Zoom Sapphire Pocket Magnifier. Solidly built (like all the titanium products), the flint sparker is easy to manipulate with one hand, crucial when out in the wilderness alone. The flint is also easy to replace and the product comes with extra sets of flints. A small piece of char cloth, and you're in business. This flint sparker is staying on my dummy cord!
This is basically a pocketable spell which allows a modern magician, like you, to "cast" sparks. Mighty amount of big sparks at that.
Perfect gift for a beginner pyromaniac, bushcrafter or a dungeon master who wants to throw real sparks on the table.
Comes with spare flints, but you can always buy more generic ones locally.
Wrap the handle with some micro cord and you're golden. I did two layers, but should probably work on how I tied it down.

The military has chosen a similar design to include in pilots survival equipment. It can be used one handed (as broken arms, or other injuries, are common after ejection/crash). Water won’t affect it like matches. It won’t leak fuel or crack like a bic lighter. Refillable with common zippo flints (included). As recommended to me in the United States Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Survival Course: Paired with cheap and readily accessible Vaseline and cotton balls (the Vaseline also can be used for chapped lips and dry skin) it makes an excellent fire starting capability. Just as good if not better than most store bought “tinders”. Practice its use and you’ll find it’s not hard to get a spark to flame if using a good tinder source. Hard to find anything so small and dependable and rugged for an emergency fire lighting device when combined with a small bag of cotton balls impregnated with Vaseline. Very high quality. Should work for a lifetime. Highly recommended.
These Titanium flint sparkers are really terrific. Machining is superb and the actual spark is significant. Easy to change out the flint, but be careful, as there are some small parts that can go missing if you're not careful. Overall, really nice but with 2 caveats: 1. The tiny screws that hold the sparker wheel have come loose over time. Make sure to check them occasionally. 2. One out of the two I ordered was defective - the sparker wheel would not engage the flint. I'm guessing this was a rare anomaly as the replacement works perfectly. Highly recommended but downgraded 1-star for the defect and the loosening screws. CS with CountyComm was excellent. Great company to deal with!
