Recommended charge cycle is weekly or as needed based on use and standby mode
For extended standby times just unscrew the back end 1/2 turn so the button doesn't use power.
Also always a great idea to keep a spare battery with you as needed ( Here )
So I walk to the Bar / Dinner allot and get home late. It is so dark you can't see your feet at night even with the moon. This little powerhouse is incredible. Keeps me from stepping in any of the many pot holes in the road or flattened by a late night driver.
It's very small and convenient to carry but holy heck can it throw. When the pico capsule is available I’m going to snag one for the extra battery. Put that on the end of a zipper and you have any easy backup battery.
I also acquired the 10440 battery adapter which I have yet to acquire a battery for but the fit and finish is excellent and the light fits in your hand ever better with it even though the finish doesn't match.
Another nice feature is the little cavity on the back of the cap. I’ve been looking at gluing in a neodymium magnet for even more uses.
CountyComm uses excellent lenses and mirrors on their flash lights. The results are one of the cleanest most uniform throws.
Truly a great little light.
super cool love it
This is the most impressive keychain light I have ever used. The user interface is well-designed, and accessing the desired mode is easy. Having five modes, with moonlight and turbo always available, encompasses a wide variety of needs. High and turbo mode provide very bright light with incredible throw, illuminating areas quite some distance away. The size of the light is very convenient for keychain carry.
Unfortunately providing high brightness in such a small package comes at the expense of runtime. The cell does not have much capacity. Ensuring that the light will work when needed requires using the lowest mode that will work for a given purpose, as well as checking the cell voltage frequently. Additionally, the parasitic drain from the switch is high. Leaving the tailcap fully tightened will drain about 1/3 of the cell's energy in about a week and a half. The tailcap must be kept unscrewed about 1/3 turn when the light is not in use to avoid this parasitic drain.
If you simply want a light that you can put on your keychain, use occasionally, and otherwise forget it is there, you will not be happy with this light. IF you want maximized capabilities, and are willing to manage the power consumption properly, you will be very impressed.
beautiful, well made and perfect for carrying in the keychain.
This is one BADA$$ little light
