The Magnetic Task Light is the perfect compact go to EDC light with simple user-friendly features. This unique light remembers where it was last set and stays there unless you save a new preferred mode. The base is also magnetic for easily working on a project as needed for daily tasks.

A NOTE FROM THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT: WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF VERY HIGH QUALITY 14500 / AA BATTERIES WITH THIS FLASHLIGHT. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF HIGHER VOLTAGE BATTERIES.
ALSO THE LIGHT WILL BECOME WARM IN TURBO MODE IF THIS IS USED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD. ANY ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THESE LIGHTS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. WE KNOW WHEN YOU TRY TO REMOVE THE PILL. SAFETY IS OUR PRIMARY CONCERN AND ALWAYS CHARGE LITHIUM CELLS IN A SAFE DRY COOL PLACE.
Great light. Compact. Very bright. Several settings for different situations. Pocket clip is very handy especially being “reversed”. Can be clipped on your cap if need be and it is light enough not to pull down the brim. The magnetic base is also nice to have. The high cap battery and charger are a great bonus.
I really like the flashlight, it does everything it claims it will do and is great looking. I don't understand what the Q1 button on the charger does, and nothing in the manual discusses it. Hey CountyCom, would it be too much trouble to ask the Chinese to include a relevant manual for the charger?
This such a sweet combo. The light is fantastic and cheap to feed. Both are in my reach or by my side in the go bag. Also, now can charge the Mrs. Solar batteries.
As someone who's been on Candlepower Forums for years I am ALWAYS on the lookout for 10440 and 16340 Series lights. This Form Factor meets all my EDC requirements... Usually. Then, I came across this gem!
As this is my first 14500 series light in many years, I was pleasantly surprised with it's many pros: Stupid Simple UI (User Interface), without the need to pisses a degree in Astrophysics just to get the modes to change.... Great Tactile feeling rubber reverse clicky switch....IMHO, PERFECT Mode Spacing between the 4 brightnesses.... Funky (in a good way) TIR lens that has the best compromise between Throw, Corona and Side Spill..... IMR Battery Compatibility....Really Decent Runtimes and the super-handy Tail Magnet.
The "Meh": The Pocket Clip- while it's awesome for using on the brim of a baseball cap(which I do regularly), it is not reversible. This means you either carry it lens up, or, you don't use the clip and throw it in a pocket. The rubber switch itself seems to be wearing away the paint/coloring inside the switch. It doesn't affect functionality at this point, just looks odd.
Bottom Line: At this price point, for the quality of the light, included battery cell and charger, it's honestly a no brainer. I'm impressed enough with this light that it kicked my Good Ole 4Sevens Mini II to the curb.
I've purchased the 18650 Quad as well as the 10440 Brass light from CC, because, from this Flashoholic's Viewpoint, the lights have leaped ahead markedly! With reasonable price points, decent features and really respectable build quality, these lights are a winner! I'll be posting reviews on the other lights, after I've had a chance to EDC/real world test them over a period of time.
I hope this review helps someone here as this is the first review I've posted- quite a few of the "Reviews" on many of the products here are generally useless. Sooooooo, I'm going to take the time to actually post what are hopefully in-depth, helpful reviews.
I like just about everything about this light except the clip. That said, it may be the best one cell flashlight around. From a nice soft glow to creep by to BLINDINGLY bright flasher to repel boarders. The ability to use the standard AA makes it all the better. Great deal on a great little light.
