This is very similar to material used in the military and it performs very well.
I was really pleased to find that the texture of the tape, while grippy, isn't tacky or sticky. I've wrapped it around the handles of some of my smaller tools and even my work coffee mug, and while I can't say it's made a tremendous difference, I'm definitely dropping stuff less (I can be pretty clumsy).
I'm trying to use it sparingly and save it for when I need it, but I really want to wrap it around the handles of so many of the things I use!
I bought a couple of rolls to wrap an axe handle and was totally amazed at the grip it gave me. I’m doing several of my tools with this tape. I just got my second order because this is how good this tape is. I agree, make the rolls longer!!

Great all around thing to have. Give it a little stretch as it's applied, sticks to itself like magic!
