We had several requests for super strong food grade tins. When Uncle Sam helped out with a large order, we decided to make a few extra for our loyal CC customers. The food grade steel tins are great to store pills, spare parts, tools, EDC & survival kits. Some folks even use them to construct electronic projects.

I received my tin and a glow in the dark insert yesterday. The tin feels substantial when handled, but weighs practically nothing. The two hinges on the back are wide and thoughtfully separated to take years of use. Their construction is not dainty, and there isn't much exposed to rub or catch against other gear. The two 'buttons' on the closure side extend out to meet a long groove on the lid. They too, appear that they are built for an extended life. The insert has very thick side walls and dividers. Although silicone, the dividers are fairly rigid, and not likely to want to sloppily lay over. The topography on the outside of the lid is very good quality work, and asthetically appealing. Probably should have ordered more than one.

This is a great tin. It’s a little bigger and a lot sturdier than the standard Altoids tin. I also ordered the glow-in-the-dark divider tray, but was disappointed to find that it is much smaller than the tin. It looks like it was designed for the smaller Altoids style tin.
These tins are thicker and better made than the ones you'll typically find on well-known online marketplaces. The lid close feels solid. They're nice and deep. I was pleasantly surprised.
