When the military needs small cord to help secure their gear, they use this 3/32" Tether Cord. This U.S. made tether cord is also called "Sensitive Item Securing System". It's used throughout the military to secure things like strobe lights, compasses and knives to the operator.
Fisherman Knot Static Breaking strength of tether cord 244lbs. ( Tested by Rescue17 )

I used this to wrap the grip of a skeletinized neck knife as 550 cord is too big. Plan on making a few mini lanyards for other gear. More durable than any nylon or poly cord I have tried.
The Tether Cord is just as expected, cuts cleanly with a sharp knife, unobtrusive colors, strong enough for what it is used for. This cord is like mini-para but with an inerlocking outer sheath, not smooth, which is why it holds knots so well. I will probably purchase other colors now as well. Great job from CountyComm as usual.
