When the military needs small cord to help secure their gear, they use this 3/32" Tether Cord. This U.S. made tether cord is also called "Sensitive Item Securing System". It's used throughout the military to secure things like strobe lights, compasses and knives to the operator.

Well I bought this 3 or 4 years ago, kept it in the truck and forgot about it until today. Long story short - this worked perfectly for tying down a new box spring and mattress in the back of the truck...no worries about the wind or turns. You never know when you'll need it but it's fairly compact and strong enough for many applications.
I started using this for gear modification and retention in those places that para-cord is too thick or too heavy. It works great for zipper pulls, small tool lanyards, etc. It is much lighter, more pliable and flexible than para-cord. This is a must have for your gear repair tool kit.
I brought this rope to use as a utility tying cordage is very useful handy and versatile I keep some in my go bag and I keep some in the shop for different reasons but in all a great cordage
Sometimes regular paracord is just to big and bulky. This cord fills a niche when a lighter, thinner cord is needed to attach or secure items to a pack or bag. It is handy for use with the smaller EDC items that seem to be more popular today. It's easy to work with, knots stay tied, and is strong. I will buy again when my supply is depleted. More colors would be .nice
