Added this wristband compass to my Meratac Ti watch. Not only do I know where NEWS is but can easily determine if hardware close by is magnetic. Very convenient :)
Nice liquid damping at this price point! Seems accurate enough to give some to hiking friends.
It points north, I walked around a little with it and spun in circles, it kept pointing north. I haven’t attached it to anything but it does have a way to attach to a watch band that is thin, not really a thick one though. Also has a hold you can run paracord through.
This is my third one. I lost the other two within days of clicking it onto my watch wristband. This time I epoxied the edge and slid it onto the band. So far, so good! Runs true to my Suunto. Nice to have as part of my EDC.
I use this compass to navigate large buildings with multiple entries and exits so I don't come out of the wrong exit and have to walk a mile to my car. Also, the compass sits perfectly on my 22mm watch band. However, I wouldn't trust it when I'm going hiking at a remote location. Then I would need a real full sized compass and a map.
