Gen 2 -> UV Stabilized
The Quick - Lock Poly Resin Hobbyist Hemostats have a plethora of applications, making them an ideal addition to your workbench. Because of their unique composition, they are impervious to acid making them great to use when pickling and much more. It comes with serrated tips; giving the Plastistat super holding power without scratching, and since they are made of plastic, they may be filed into any shape desired. And, the looped handles were designed to make it easy for you to hold jewelry suspended in your ultrasonic machine, without you holding them.
I got these for a couple different uses. First for working on electronics. Using a non-conductive material is great for adjusting pieces when you have to worry about creating a short. Second I do some hobbies with small plastic pieces that could easily get marked up and damaged if I used a part of metal hemostats. using the plastic lets me get a firm sold hold with the level of damage I might get from metal.
Lightweight use only. If you try to hold or grape something too thick it will deform the hemostat otherwise it is a great product at a good price.
PS Sometimes you can undo the the deformed tip, but not always.
These little hemostats are handy. The way they are constructed and move seems well done. My only concern is the moving joints my eventually fail but I would imagine that would take a long time and a lot of use. For $1 it’s a good little tool.
