The good word about our Titanium tools is spreading. We were asked to make these specialized 1/4" hex bit drivers for a large aircraft manufacturer to include in their tool kits. We have fulfilled our contract, and now we have some extras to sell.
They are Grade 5 Titanium, and super cool. They look and feel like the precision aviation tool that they are.
Q: What's different between these, and the ones we sold to XXXXXX? A: The ones that we sold to the not to be mentioned by name, aircraft manufacturer did not include any bits, and were marked with their part number. The ones we are selling here are marked: "Titanium - CAGE: 5VKB6".
Not a true substitute for a full set of quality drivers, but a cool, unique & versatile tool for the short-notice kit. Heftier than the Ti might lead one to believe... but it's a good heft that's largely due to the bit barrel and magnet within. Cap thread is fairly fine and seemingly at risk for cross-threading; it's also a bit gritty-feeling at first -- enough to warrant a dab of silicone and some unscrewing/re-screwing to break in the mating. Better now. With a smidge of play in the socket, bit fitment is typical but allows for a satisfying "pop" into the strong magnetic seat. No rattling when everything's nested inside, either -- all solid. Titanium always has a good, natural feel in the hand and this tool is no exception -- it's a winner. And as always with CountyComm, order was processed and delivered remarkably quick!
