Maratac™ did it again. They took the U.S. Government specifications watchbands and then made them better. Maratac™ made these new bands better and stronger than U.S. Military spec # MIL-S-46383. Maratac™ used their ultrasonic drilling process to cut perfect holes that eliminate rough spots around the holes. These new Maratac™ Mil Series bands feature non-magnetic stainless steel buckles that have been coated with mil spec black phosphate to eliminate possible reflection. How could it get better? Maratac™ added more colors and larger selection of sizes than Uncle Sam ever thought of.

I have been using the Maratac NATO and Zulus for years. I’m pretty rough in them and even modified them by cutting the lower secure strap part on them…but decided to go the single layer strap this time. These are amazing. They are light, durable, and work so well for me as they don’t have the extra fabric. The weave is comfortable and not scratchy or irritating. They look great and I prefer the fabric “keeper” instead of another metal bar. Perfect for me and my needs. Might as well buy all the colors right away because you’ll be coming back for more!
This is my second watch band from Maratac, the first finally gave up its band retainer, see pic. So I got a great deal on my new band. I will probably trim down the length a bit. Two Thumbs Up!!
I have been using this style strap for years, as I prefer these over the NATO style since they don’t have all the extra hardware and webbing. I can say without a doubt that these are by far the best single pass military style watch straps on the market. I have paid much more for other straps that were nowhere near close in quality. Plus they fit my 8.25” wrist with room to spare.
I've got at least five of them over the years from here. Two of a different style but basically the same. Security for a good watch if you lose a watch pin you don't loose the watch. A big reason I still have my Citizen watch I lost a pin Scuba diving years ago but not the watch due to having replaced the OEM band. Now a small problem could be the band don't give if snagged on something. I've got two of my watches mounted on the bands I got from Country Comm. My Citizen and Omega watches.
