Have used many 3rd hand devices for years & this one is "Hands Down" (pun intended) the best. This is a very sturdy device which I find very useful with just 1 length of extension. Great job Mike & team!
This is a completely overdesigned third-hand but in a good way. Two or, perhaps three, extensions would serve for almost all uses but having the ability to extend if necesary is a nice touch. Recommended!
This is a great bit of kit. The base is nice and weighy, so it won’t tip over easily. With all the bits attached, I can place it on the floor and solder from my sofa as it extends up to the correct height. Only thing costing it 1 ⭐️ is that it doesn’t come with assembly instructions. Some people may struggle putting it together, that’s all I’m saying.
I received this for Xmas. Great tool to use as a third hand. The base is heavy which is good for stability. Heavier than you probably imagine. This is an almost perfect tool for what it is in my mind. I have one suggestion for the manufacturers of this though that I think can only make this better. I am not fond of needing to use an allen to tighten the joints. A modification to the joint that uses a square slotted bolt and joint designed to accept it would remove the need for the wrench altogether. This is such a no brainer in my mind I'm having a hard time understanding why this was not done to begin with. This would make this a truly exceptional tool overall. As it is my intent had been to use a magnet to attach the wrench to the tool for use, turns out the base in not magnetic though, in fact most of it is not, so I used some hot glue to attach the magnet. Anyway other than that its made to last forever and is quality.
Not something I would have bought normally, but I got one in a mystery pack. It is really cool and very sturdy. I have used it with the large parts tray to fix my wife and daughters jewelry, and I am sure it will come in handy again.
