Food Grade 5 Titanium - Dishwasher Safe
CountyComm is based in California, where our governor has proposed banning drinking straws. The good folks in our Machine Shop made these Reusable Titanium Drinking Straws in response. If you must use a re-usable straw, this is definitely the one to have.
Solid Grade 5 Titanium, Thick wall, big bore construction works great with hot, cold, thin or thick liquids. The Titanium is BPA and chemical free leaving no aftertaste.
Titanium, being chemically inert doesn’t have the allergy risks that many other reusable options have. (Yes, you can anodize the Grade 5 Ti-Straw)
Our client, Mr. Grayman told us that he likes the Ti-Straw because not only does it allow him to drink comfortably, but it allows him to have a rigid tool readily available in his drink without anyone thinking anything about it. Mr. Grayman seems to be the master of blending with his surroundings.
Ti-Straws are available straight or bent. While the Ti Straw is dishwasher safe, we include a cleaning brush. Also wash before first use.
Several Photos show the difference in size between our robust standard straws and our new massive Poseidon size!
( Heat treatable with a fine tip flame or torch )
Not much can be said, this is a massive titanium straw. Well made, no sharp edges, and really sucks. The addition of the brush to help clean is a plus
Seriously love these things, got both types. I have a handful of various glass, silicone, and stainless straws to avoid using plastic and these get used most frequently next to the silicone ones.
One small note - these Ti straws *destroy* drink carbonation. Like completely flat drink after ~30-60 seconds, or at least any sip taken becomes completely flat. I suspect it has to do with the satin finish acting as a nucleation point for the CO2, but I haven't exactly sat around figuring out out in any great detail.
I stick to using them for water, iced tea, and the like. Not a problem.
These straws are massive. I mean, you can probably suck a frozen blueberry shake through this thing and not miss a blueberry. Seeming as they have their large size and bore, they can be used for many other applications - but its awesome just to have something like this.
