What is Vapor Polishing? Vapor polishing is a finishing process used to achieve optical clarity and a smooth surface on polycarbonate by exposing it to a chemical vapor, such as methylene chloride, which slightly melts the outermost layer, filling in microscopic imperfections. The CountyComm Embassy Pen industrial design purposely DOES NOT provide for the cap to fit on the back of the barrel. There are several reasons for this, one will become apparent when someone asks to borrow your pen— loan them the pen while you hold the cap and you will get your pen back! Other more discrete reasons are best kept quiet! If you require a pen that holds the cap on the barrel while writing, there are thousands on the market to choose from. I'd been a bit sour on Maratac of late. But this pen pulled me back in. Very well made and a pleasure to use in my work notebook.
I like all the Embassy pens. For me an excellent design. This polycarbonate one is the lightest that i have, but the ultem version is probably about the same (if everything goes well i'll receive that in a couple of weeks.
Comparing this one with the heaviest i.e. the copper one, is quite an experience, but i like them both.

I had to get this clear Penny when I saw it. It’s a collectors item. Writes great & one of my favorites now. Everyone who sees has to know where I got it.
Seems like it’s lighter than the Ultem version, but maybe that’s just my mind playing tricks. It really is clear and extremely well finished. Looks like glass. Writes like other Embassy pens, but that’s a good thing.
