2 Modes ( Constant Low / Constant High )
Kit Includes - Battery Holder So You Can Select 4xAAA's or a Single C-Cell to Power Your Light & Enough Spare Orings To last You A Lifetime
The 1C was developed based on our proven TLL platform to provide amazing throw and runtimes on a single C Cell or even 4 AAA Batteries. Once we started fielding the 1C, we quickly discovered that they had more uses that did not include aircraft. Here’s some of the ways we are using the 1C around here:
It makes a great camping lantern. It illuminates the entire tent on low power and provides a nice reading light.
When camping, I gave one to my little girl. It’s big enough where she won’t lose it and rugged enough so she can’t break it. She can sit it down on it’s flat bottom and use the light. Probably most importantly, I don’t worry about her draining the battery. The 1C belongs in every “GO Bag”, car, boat, first aid kit, actually everywhere. If you set up emergency LZs for a living, you may already know about the versatility of the 1C, If not think of all the places where you could use one.
A Note From The Legal Department: As with all cool stuff, “battery not included”. We do not recommend the use of higher rated voltage lithium cells rechargeable batteries with this flashlight. It is designed to use an off the shelf Alkaline, Eneloop & Lithium. Any attempt to modify these lights will void the warranty. No battery or tripod included.
single C cell powered led light has two modes, bright and not bright using the twist actions (no push button); and at its back end, has two holes large enough for paracord line so you can leash it. good size for a pocket although largish diameter, length is okay. Wish it had a strobe mode and a lower mode for map reading or just plain reading. Hope a domed version for more generalised illumination becomes avaliable. An AAA cell holder is present and works fine for short periods although at less then 1000mAh in AAA you shouldn't expect long run times at max output it is still very practical to have on hand.
Admittedly, I am a flashlight freak. I have more flashlights than any single human being will ever need. This flashlight is a welcome addition to my accumulation.
It is small, lightweight and very, very bright. It works well with rechargeable batteries which is a significant advantage.
I have not had it, or used it, long enough to give it a thorough workout, but so far I am impressed by the standard features it possesses.
If the technology is available, a noble improvement would be to upgrade the switching to include a strobe option feature.
I am not often in situations where a strobe would be a lifesaver, but with the addition of an orange wand, it would make a fantastic emergency signalling/traffic direction device in circumstances where such a device could be used. Additionally, if a red or amber lens were available, cyclists could use this light in a flashing mode as a safety tail light.
The execution of this light gives Surefire a run for the money. (I hope it is made in the USA - if not, it ought to be.)
MAGA, with American made products!
