Proudly U.S.A. Made
After numerous responses and requests with the Standard Peanut and Split Pea Lighters our staff members wondered what could be done to make it better. The answer is make it bigger and also increase the size of the spark wheel for even easier use with and without gloves. These two changes make a dramatic difference in extended runtime and versatility of use in any condition. The XL Peanut Lighter is also perfect for extended trips where you will need more than a few days of firestarting.
Make sure to keep one in your: First Aid Kit, EDC / Prepper Bag, Car, Kitchen, Backpack…
Remember you will always need a knife and fire to survive in the wilderness.
Here's what we came up with to improve it:
I have looked at many peanut lighters and in comparing them found them to be mostly to be the same. Having arthritic hands I have found them to be a little small , slippery and hard to handle with one hand. I have purchased 2 of the Anodized XL lighters and have found them to be an excellent well made product and easy to grip. Along with County Comm's excellent customer service, it is exactly what I was looking for.
What better addition to my briefcase. When the opportunity presents itself, I'll be making fire!
This is a full size lighter that could easily become my everyday carry. I have the original peanut where things are scaled down to make it small. CCom didn't scale down for the XL. Full size friction wheel lots of fuel storage space.
High quality piece. Very satisfied.
is a grear size, much larger than first one i got (i love that one also)
I was looking for the reliability of a zippo without the evaporation issues so I could stash it in my fire kit in my backpack. This seals nicely and fits in one of the elastic loops in my pocket organizer. The fit and finish is top notch. If I were a smoker, I'd have a Ti model in my pocket for sure.
Put in the lighter fluid and it worked no problem. Will have to test out how long it lasts and how well the seal holds, but no issues yet.
Extremely well made in the United States of America.Excellent design, small enough to fit in our survival kits we sell, no leakage of fuel detected, excellent spare o-rings and spare flints (we put the flints under the cotton in the fuel fill area. Could be a challenge to light wearing gloves, practice wearing gloves, if they fit properly it will work. Make sure your tinder and first fire material is close by, to conserve fuel while lighting tinder. Far and above the knock-off crap from offshore which look very similar to these but are pure garbage.
