These are very easy to store. Works very well. I hate that you can’t charge an iPhone directly but charging a battery pack and then charging the phone isn’t that big of a deal really.
The case it comes in is very nice. Easily slide in a glovebox, center console, or backpack.
I like the fact that it’s plug and play very inexpensive and compact. I had three and I gave two to a visiting missionary who was going off grid. So I was glad when they became available again and I bought two more to replace the two I gave the missionary. I just wish they were certified for iPhone.
Do not expect this thing to charge a phone quickly. The 5V is incredibly optimistic, unless you're using this thing at high noon on a cloudless day in Arizona. Best use is to keep a power bank topped off. On a decently sunny day, this thing got me about 3% charge on an Anker smart pack in 5 hours. Your mileage may vary. For the price, though? Not bad.
Like everyone I presume I was skeptical of the utility of this small of a panel. However, county comm always makes good **** so I thought I would pick one up.
Is this a workhorse of a panel to charge large capacity power banks or your iPhone pro, hard no. Where this excels is charging 18650/21700 batteries in a single bay charger, which they also apparently sell.
This panel is so small, thin, and simple it will save your **** when you find yourself in a suboptimal situation. 100% recommend for your go bag, especially when overseas. It’ll do around 250mAh per hour with mixed clouds in the southern hemisphere.
I would recommend taking some of their micro cord and fashioning a lanyard. Also a piece of gorilla tape for a cable stress relief point.
My only complaint is that it is USB-A not C however I’m just being picky and only want to carry one type of cable. That being said the third world is still reliant on old USB-A so I’m stuck carrying that cable/adaptor anyways.
