We do not recommend the use of 10440 rechargeable batteries with this flashlight. It is designed to use a off the shelf alkaline, lithium, NiMH or Nicad AAA batteries. We do not recommend use of higher voltage batteries. Any attempt to modify these lights will void the warranty. We know when you try to remove the pill...
All the function and performance I expect out of Maratac lights and with a copper option to match some other copper clad edc gear. I own one in titanium for my mini emergency kit. These don't disappoint in throw, output lifespan or interface. Top notch for an AAA.
I have loved this AAA flash light since the day I got it. It’s perfect for EDC, because it fits in the tiny change pocket on most pants. It’s weight for me is why I got it: it feels substantial enough to handle and not fumble it when using one handed. I carry it every day working on wildfires, dropped it in ash pits, and still works like a champ. I sadly washed it a few times and ruined the threads, but it still works just not “as smoothly”. I have this and an aluminum one for my dob kit, and can’t rave enough about them. Don’t have a head lamp? Clip it to your hat visor! Small enough to leave in pocket all day and not feel like your stowing another pocket knife. Looking to get the bronze one next!
I have a few of these lights now and they all work nicely, each a newer REV and a little brighter each time. This one has smooth switching and action on the threads. The only hitch is that I have to really turn the rotary switch very tight to get solid switch in light level. This takes a harder, two hand motion and sometimes it skips a level. This is a minor inconvenience to me, considering the bright light from such a small flashlight. A beautiful tool to carry.
