The caddys are great for a bag, backpack, etc. But these are THE BEST to carry a backup on your person. I always have one on me with a CR123A, AA, or AAA.
I accidently put it through the wash with a battery in it! Opened it up when I emptied the washer and it was completely dry inside!
i couldn't find these delrin single battery storage capsules in-stock anywhere else on internet except the 'bay' site and they sell for even higher price there and on the few other websites which carry these; whether in stock or not... i wish the price would be closer to $5-$7 per each so i could purchase a bunch of them at a time [i limit my devices to those which use primarily aa cells, with a couple of 1x18650 flashlights] but these are the best option for a waterproof single cell storage out there... therefore the minus 1 star rating is for the price factor only...no metal construction anywhere so very safe to store cells without a possibility of a self-discharge and fully waterproof, also ultralight and incredibly sturdy so pretty much crush proof... i cut a tinderquik tab in 1/4 [1/2 for 18650] and stuff it into the top portion of the capsule when carrying all my cells to eliminate any rattle... top portion because it'd be very difficult to extract that piece of a fire tinder from the bottom of the capsule once it's flattened and squished into the bottom by a battery... in most of my emergency/edc minimalist kits i prefer to carry a single spare battery instead of a container with 2+ capacity due to weight/space limiting aspects... overall an excellent very practical single cell storage/edc solution but very pricey...
