Make it better? Yes, add ruler marks. Since this is my daily carry comb, some ruler markings would add a great amount more use. Besides that it’s great!
I haven't used a comb in a long time, and have been a hair brush fan. Saw these at the reduced price, and decided to give them a try. Of course, titanium is so cool. The comb is a solid piece of metal that doesn't flex at all with any reasonable amount of force. It is very light, and it would be hard to believe that an el cheapo plastic comb would be much lighter. The tines of the comb are comfortable and are not at all sharp. Interestingly, the tines alternate with two different widths. Is there some strange tine width hair science that CC knows about? Being metal that won't rust, you can sterilize these in boiling water to clean them. It you have two of these combs, you can connect them together at right angles at the midpoint by interlocking the tines to form a nice trivet. The trivet can be used to elevate a pan off the bottom of a dutch oven, so that the contents bake and not burn, or elevate a steamer basket above the boiling water in a larger pot to steam your vegetables. If you connect two combs together at the ends, you can set the right angle combination with one comb vertical, and use it as a cell phone stand, with the phone resting on both combs. You can use the comb on the edge of your pot to strain the water off your pasta, or strain the ice out of your martini. You can take some small cord, elastic if you have it, and make expedient sun glasses. The spine of the comb has a sharp 90 degree edge that can be used to strike a fire steel. Could be a light duty pry bar. The tines are 1/8" center to center, so you can use this as a ruler, and straight edge. Can be used as a scraper, and can make tinder dust from dead wood. Oh, and it does comb hair well. This comb is awesome. Don't leave home without one, or maybe two.
