FDS-1 – Field Deployment Sac by Maratac® is the perfect on the go bag when you need it most, from the grocery store or in the field training always be ready. The integrated quick collapsible design fits in the palm of your hand when not in use and turns into full size bag when in need. 3.4" x 2" ( 10 Cubic Inches ) when folded. When deployed it's 26" Wide ( 18" Diameter ) The integrated folds are embedded into the Ripstop Nylon with steam so it's easy to fold in seconds. The integrated handles will self seal the bag when in use to keep your content safe while traveling.
Fully deployed the volumetric space is 3050 Cubic Inches which is more than most backpacks.

I'm surprised at how much I love these bags. They roll up bulkier than most "packable reusable shopping bag" type totes, but are definitely made of more sturdy materials and have incredible amounts of attention put into their design. The way the handles pull the bag into a deeper enclosed shape when they extend is such a satisfying double feature. Though they're still an "open" tote rather than a duffel, and even with the snap done up, some of the open seam will be halfway down the side, their design lets them cradle their contents exceptionally well, and volume they can hold is honestly great for what they are. They are not 100% secure, closed storage, but they are amazing for hasty gathering and light hauling with rapid, tidy re-packing after.
This bag doesn’t take up any space when rolled up but “deploys” big enough to carry a weekend’s worth of gear (and I’m a gear guy). Once the weekend is over the pleated fabric lets you un-deploy the bag back into a rolled state quicker than it deployed.
I had to pick up 22.6 lbs of mail at the post office today, and the FDS was invaluable. It's hard to beat its sturdy construction and capacity—given its size. Combined with the reasonable price, there's great value in a tiny package.
If you go to swap meets, flea markets, or farmers markets this is a must have. Holds a tin and is very strong. Even when loaded heavy it’s still very comfortable to carry. And the best part is it still folds right back up and stores easily.
These Field Deployment Sacks are very compact & super handy. One lives in a coat pocket, another in the Bail Out Bag) Often use them for dented can sales or, for all cold meat products in one bag at grocery store, range trips, carrying job specific tools, foraging in woods, etc. Love the bright orange for fast dentification among other bags or, safety alert situations such as foraging during hunting season or flagging for safety,

Hey Mike! That Gen 10 Bail Out Bag is a reallt well built bag that I use almost daily. My only concern is, that it stays within reach on a passenger seat in vehicle when not in the house &, with the 3"x2" glow marker, moral patch & glow zipper tags (another awesome product!) for quick access in low light situations, it looks very tactical & tempting to thieves. It won't fit in these Field Deployment Sacks with my present load out of tech, tools & gear. If you made a larger version, it would be really useful for carrying/transferring the Bail Out Bag in our frequently wet weather up here in northern New England as well as & more importantly, provide camouflage as needed while left unattended in the vehicle.
Great job on these sacks though, I will be getting more.
