What is a LEP?
The Micro LEP Cosmos By Maratac® uses a new laser projection system with new technology that converts the blue laser beam emitted by a semiconductor into a broad-spectrum, divergent, safe and bright incoherent white light through a high performance phosphor element.
The results of this amazing technology is a highly focused beam designed for maximum throw. If you want a light that can really out perform a throw of all the other lights in your arsenal this is it.

Warning:
1: This light uses a high efficiency LEP emitter manufactured by a third party, with a high power output between 0.22-0.25W. It is classified as Class 2M laser device and has passed CE, RoHS, FDA certifications!
2: This light illumination principle is similar to LED, which is not pure laser product. Please use it in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Release the manufacturer and retailers from all liabilities.
3: You certify you have read the included “Laser Safety” warnings before use, and make sure you are familiar with and follow.
4: The tail cap acts as a “safety key” and must be kept safely. Click tail cap switch to turn off the light immediately or by twisting off the tail cap as a safety back-up.
5: DO NOT aim at person. DO NOT aim at aircrafts or vehicles in operations.
6: This light is purchased by professional users only. (It is not a civilian industry product.)
7: Users must be over 18 years of age. Keep the light out of the reach of children.
Notice:
1. The light must be powered by a battery with 10Amps of current. The light may not be turned on when using other brand battery with the less current.
2. This light is water-resistant upto 2 meters, it can not be used as a diving light.
3. Because lithium-ion battery can self-discharge, it is suggested to remove the battery during storage and keep the lithium-ion battery charged approximately a period of time.
4. Maintain and keep clean any contact surfaces of the flashlight with alcohol swab. This may prevent irregular flashes during use.
5. Lubricate the threads with professional grade lubricant regularly.
6. Please swap out the O-rings regularly to maintain the water resistance level.
7. It is normal if the surface heat is increased during use due to the excellent thermal conductivity technology.
8. It is suggested to use in a well ventilated area with ambient temperature.
9. When the light is uncomfortable to hold due to the increased heat, please turn the light off until it cools down.
10. Unauthorized disassembly may damage the light and void the warranty.

semiconductor has been converted into broad-spectrum
white light the conversion process of the high performance phosphor element,
so it does not have monochromaticity and coherence. In other words,
The Mini LEP Cosmos - Laser Flashlight does not have the "three characteristics" of the laser.
Never shine onto reflective surfaces or mirrors
The core of Mini LEP Cosmos - Laser Flashlight is to reduce the light-emitting area of fluorescent light to a small extent, so that the unique effect of long-range illumination can be formed by convex lens. This technology has been applied to the high-end models of BMW, Audi and Land Rover, and has been widely welcomed by consumers.
Warning: This flashlight belongs to Class 3B device, it's forbidden to shoot directly into eyes, and avoid direct eye exposed to the light.

I wanted a small spot light for the boat bag. We run the gulf alot at night headed to the oil rigs and safety isn't taken lightly. God forbid someone falls overboard at night! This gives me alot more confidence in finding them quickly. And if it were me I'd keep one of these in my pocket just in case I'm the one in the water. I bet I could signal the boat or the coast guard 10-20 miles away with this little guy it's so bright. It really is like a laser!
My only knock is I thought it came with a battery, I didn't read the description bc I was so excited to get this light and worried it would sell out during checkout. Luckily I ordered a spare battery and was able to use it out of the box.
My 4th LEP flashlight from Maratac: great value and I recommend a 2nd back up battery. Get one before they run out; makes a great gift!
This is about a third of the size of my other LEP light and works great for spotting wildlife at distance in the dark. As expected, there’s no flood on it, but can clearly distinguish individual animals out past 200 yards with it easily. Have not had a chance to run it to test the battery life even, but on evening walks it has plenty of juice for what I need. I would imagine the signaling value of these is pretty impressive as well. Any serious hikes this is going in my pack next to my big orange handkerchief for signaling purposes if (God forbid) I need it
Already have the slightly larger LEP Cosmos version that continues to give me excellent service. Couldn't resist this mini version. Fits nicely in your pocket. Operation simple and extremely effective. Laser projection of bright light that travels on & on. Quick two click stobe option that makes this mini light sabre an excellent self defence option.. very pleased.
This light is super bright and small. I am truly impressed after using this light for almost 9 months that it barely uses any battery life (lasts 3-4 weeks of on and off use) if you only use it to glance at far away stuff. I own 3 LEP by Maratac and love them all. I tried writing reviews for the other two as well but couldn’t. I’m giving this a try at a review. I couldn’t tell you how many people I’ve told about CountyComm and LEP vs LED and had to educate them a bit.
