Why are these the best Kubatons available? These Kubatons are light weight, scratch resistant, corrosion resistant and temperature stable. Metal Kubatons are sometimes too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter to hold and then scratch and get dinged up. Wooden Kubatons are prone to weathering and cracking.

Awesome kubaton, good weight and size. Fits perfect in my hand.
Did a couple slight mods, added 9-206 buna O-rings, and 2/3 inch stainless steel d-ring mini shackle. O-rings add a ton of grip ( not dropping this anytime soon) and a little texture. Excellent item, recommended.

I have owned the original Kubotan since I was about 11 when it was invented by my father, Sōke Takayuki Kubota and Val Mijailovic (credited). I have always felt safe carrying my Kubotan and recently lost it when my car caught on fire. I barely escaped - my beloved Kubotan did not. My father passed on in 2016 and I have attempted to find a replacement since mine went up in flames. The aluminum copies are a foolish joke (!!!) and I was close to giving up, when I found this model. After careful consideration, I decided to give it a try. I am happily surprised. This "Kubaton" is as close as the seemingly unobtainable original as I've ever seen. It feels very much the same, and my keys are once more attached to the object that has given me confidence, kept me safe and links me to IKA and my Dad's beloved Karate family there. Osu!

Good grip especially for XL hands. Just the right size to use as a pocket hook. Haven’t had to use what it’s designed for, yet.
This kubaton is very light and sized just right. Been carrying and using one for years when becomes necessary to assist someone in taking a short ride in my cruiser. This is much lighter than the aluminum one I’ve used for years. It passed its premiere with flying colors.
